Fazenda is the Portuguese word for an estate or large farm. We are situated at the foot of the beautiful Langeberg mountains in the historical Hermitage valley. Our prime location to the town of Swellendam makes for a unique and private forest stay yet close enough to all amenities. Fazenda has 3 luxury mountain cabins and a bespoke greenhouse designed for 2 adults each. The Hacienda is two bedroom villa accommodating up to four guests including children 12 and older. The farm offers guests a luxurious and private retreat with breathtaking mountain views!

Spend your days hiking, mountain biking, foraging mushrooms in the forest or just relaxing on the sun terrace with a glass of wine soaking up the magnificent views!
You might just spot an indigenous bush buck coming to drink water at the dam in front of your cottage!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning natural beauty surrounding the property. The views are nothing short of breathtaking. Rolling hills, lush greenery, and majestic mountains create a picture-perfect backdrop that feels like something out of a dream.

The accommodation itself is luxurious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed, from the cozy yet elegant interiors to the spacious outdoor areas where you can relax and soak in the scenery. Waking up to the sunrise over the mountains with a cup of coffee on the deck was pure magic!

A secluded, glass-walled cabin in Swellendam made for two. Surrounded by forest, with a king-size bed, private plunge pool, and total privacy. Wake to birdsong, soak under the stars, and lose track of time together.

We just spent a long weekend here, and it was the perfect escape we desperately needed. This place is an absolute gem if you want to truly connect with nature. The feeling of peace you get from the mountains is something special, and waking up to that heavenly view from the cottage was unbelievable. The host was incredibly lovely and made us feel right at home. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better, more tranquil experience. Highly, highly recommend!

WOW! The second you arrive at the Farm, you take a gasp because the view is just so breathtaking.

Marilouise is a super friendly and responsive host who helped with everything.

I recommend buying the meat and burgers at the farm – it’s honestly the best food I’ve ever tasted in my life!!

The bed is super comfortable and the views are to die for! The pool was a lovely touch on a hot day and there was plenty of hiking trails to do.
